Car manufacturers are always trying to hide their upcoming models, but when testing must be done, spy shots emerge, whether they like that or not. Today, on our menu, we have the most recent generation of the Audi R8 2016 Spyder caught during the very first test drive. Although, the prototype features a heavy camouflage, a true Gearhead can easily spot the key design changes.
First off, at the front the upcoming R8 Spyder looks exactly like the coupe, but with a folding soft top. Doesn`t that remind you of the outgoing Audi R8 Spyder?! If you ask us, the answer is a loud YES! Given that, we are a little surprised that Audi didn`t follow its main rivals like Ferrari and McLaren who revealed their Spiders with a hardtop! Time will show up if Lamborghini is going to follow the trends or it will accompany the R8. Till then, we can enjoy the photos of this fast R8 Spyder that will hit the market with two V10 powered models, whereas the 5.2 litre V10 model will deliver around 610 HP!
