If you ask me, something does not seem to be right and `in place` of this drag race contest that you are all about to see in the following video. And exactly because of its weirdness, we decided to post it and show it to you also, so that we can all come up with a final conclusion about it. What we have here is VW Golf R36 (MK 6) with a Twin Turbo HGP engine that develops 700 HP, versus BMW M6 with a PP -- Performance Stage 2+ generating 720 HP, versus Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 generating 560 HP, versus Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG, with Gorilla Racing Stage 3, developing 840 HP.
As you can see, they are all (with the exception of the Lamborghini) highly tuned up and modified cars, able to achieve high level of acceleration and top speed. Yet, race after race, the VW Golf R36 is having absolutely no problems beating one after another all of its opponents. And it is doing it so easily, like it is battling with an old station wagon, leaving it at least ten yards behind at the finish.
I don`t know about you, but I can not except this just like that. Pay attention at the start when the cars are launching, especially with BMW and the Mercedes. These cars are looking rather like doing a window shopping than launching at a drag race. Weird!
