Here you will see the 10 Most Expensive Mustangs sold on auction! Not so long ago, the first sale `15 Ford Mustang GT passed the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction block at and plenty of people were wondering if its gonna hit a new record.
The car was sold for an amazing $300,000 in support of the JDRF, but strangely it didn`t make it to the most expensive `Stang list.
10) ’65 Supercharged Shelby G.T.350 -- Sold For $ 528, 000 --
Starting the 10 Most Expensive Mustangs with the `65 Shelby GT350 represents without any doubt a nice car that brought around five hundred thousand of dollars to the auction`s finances. What does this car have that makes it so unique? This very special prototype of Shelby GT350 was fitted a supercharger from McCulloh, that boosted out an amazing 306 horses. It is the only `65 GT350 supercharged version. In 1996, you were actually chose whether you want or disliked a supercharger.
This cars also includes a 4 speed T-10 trans from Borg Warner, a solid axle on the rear end, over ride traction bars, drum brakes at the rear, distinctive suspension and a disc at the front, shock absorbers from Koni and leaf springs.

9) ’69 Mustang Boss 429 -- Sold for $ 550, 000
The vintage, one and only Boss 429 is a car that many wish they have. There are many restored versions at car shows around the world, a factory made Boss 429 represents another thing that has a worth difficult to measure. The one that you see was sold in Monterey for around five hundred and fifty thousand and it still got the plastic wrap on the steering as well as the factory made window sticker. This baby has passed less than one thousand miles in forty five years, while all of its original parts are kept in mint condition.
8) The First ’08 Shelby Mustamg GT 500 K.R. -- Sold for $ 550, 000

7) The First ’07 Mustang Shelby GT -- Sold for $ 600, 000
The inspiration for this Shelby is the very special `Stang rental package for Shelby GT-H Hertz. The Shelby GT was the very first, that walked across the auction path in Scottsdale was sold for around $600k. All the money from its sale went to the Children`s Foundation of Shelby Carol.
6) ’69 Mustang Boss 429 -- Sold for $ 605, 000
This particular Boss 429 achieved an amazing prize at Scottsdale for about six hundred and five thousand. It is one of the first fifty Bosses 429s that`s completely hand-made, consisted of a rare 820-S engine from NASCAR with exceptional Ford C9AE-A with forged pistons, bolt rods measuring half inches, and a crank made of steel as well as many other things. Plenty of these vehicles were created in the same way, with exception of some that have 2 drivetrains and many stories to tell. That`s the reason that the Boss 429 was sold at that prize.

2007 was the model year, when Shelby made a decision to revive the Shelby GT500, yet another nickname, overwhelming Mustang fans from all over the world. Since a legend like Carroll Shelby decided this new `Stang shall have his name upon it, it boosted the performance of the big block engine and that hard-core perkiness to the updated platform of one hundred and ninety-seven grand. The very first sale of Shelby GT500 at Scottsdale was purchased for six hundred and forty-eight thousand in 2006. All the collected funds went in the hands of the Children`s Foundation of Carroll Shelby.

We proudly present you Carroll Shelby`s personal `69 GT500 Convertible which was part of the “Top 10 Dream Cars” according to Mustang Monthly. It was sold at Scottsdale for an incredible seven hundred and forty-two thousand and five hundred $742,500 in 2008. Carroll had this Shelby since the day it rolled out of the factory. Jim Cowles , a Shelby restorer performed a restoration on the rotisserie that was going on for five years.

3) ’65 Mustang Shelby G.T. 350 R -- $ 990, 000 -- 10 Most Expensive Mustangs
In 1965, there were solely thirty-four Shelby GT350 “R” versions built, so that`s leaves aside any doubt about this `Stang was sold for $1.0 mil. The car had a starting price of nine hundred and ninety thousand at Scottsdale in 2012.
The GT350R, had Richard Jordan as its first owner, its factory made transmission and engine and has passed less than four thousand and nine hundred miles. Somewhere at the beginning of the seventies, this Shelby was part of the national races of SCCA in Midwestern. In 1968 was stored away. The original titles, race pics and invoice remained intact, which is truly amazing.
2) ’67 Mustang Shelby “Eleanor” -- Sold for $ 1+ million -- 10 Most Expensive Mustangs
The Eleanor has become a major hit, not just among car lovers, after the premiere of the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds. The car became very famous, very quickly. There wasn`t a person who didn`t wished for it. This car was part of the film poster as well as of the close ups, even though many cars were part of the film. Since the movie was such a big hit, it was not surprising that the car was sold for one mil.

At the top of our list and of evry other list is this amazing `67 Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The car was sold for an incredible amount of One million and three hundred thousand dollars. The Super Snake has a V-8 427cubic inches engine, used for racing vehicles of Ford. It was planned to launch a limited amount of these beasts, but regarding the fact that it was more expensive than a Shelby 427 Cobra. That fact didn`t went well for the potential buyers. So, what makes this car so special is the fact that this model was the only one built.

’68 Mustang Shelby EXP 500 “Green Hornet” – Sold for $ 1.8 million -- 10 Most Expensive Mustangs
It wasn`t difficult for this fresly-restored Shelby to rank at the peak of the most expensive Stangs list. It price went for much as one million and eight hundred thousand dollars. This beast remains still unsold in the hands of its owner, waiting for the next best bid.
This experimental Shelby has an amazing V- 8 390 cubic inches engine, best known as the “Green Hornet“. It was subjected to many alterations and several upgrades took place and also got an experimental injection of fuel, amazing disc brakes, and a distinctive suspension at the rear end.
