The first adjective that comes to mind when describing the new 2017 Acura NSX is definitely heavy, because it is 300 pound heavier than a Chevy Vette Z06! But the second epithet is perplexing, without a doubt. Why so? Because it is powered by a V6 engine amplified with twin-turbo system, plus Twin Motor Unit, plus nine speed transmission with two clutches!
The 3.5 liter twin-turbo amplified engine (created particularly for this vehicle) delivers 500 horses and 406 lb-ft of torque on its own. Next, the rear assist engine located behind the main engine produces additional 47 horses and 100 feet-pound of torque. Finally, the TMU kicks out 36 horses and plus 54 pound-feet of torque!
