If you have not heard by now, Mazda`s most popular convertible model with almost 1 000 000 sales worldwide, the MX-5, is coming back on the stage with its fourth and latest generation of Mazda Miata, as it is better known here, in the United States. The Miata aficionados will notice right away that there are some changes in the New 2015 Mazda MX 5 design, but I think that they will all be presently surprised with the lower and wider body with sharp angles, and with new drop top that makes it lighter for about 200 pounds.
But to be perfectly honest with you, the New 2015 Mazda MX 5 is not much different, compared with the one that was presented last year at synchronized events in Europe, North America and Japan. The same, well known Kodo minimalist design that could be also seen at Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 models is implemented in the Miata as well.
However, under the hood of 2015 Mazda Miata, there is the standard version of 2.0 liter, four cylinder engine that generates 167 HP and 140 pounds feet of torque, mated with a five or six speed manual transmission. There are also variants with 6 speed automatic transmission, but these models are rated at 158 HP. Watch the video and see if this could be your new choice of roadster.
