2016 is going to be the year when we are going to be witnesses of the arrival of the new generation Porsche Boxster and Porsche Cayman! These new models will bring history (more or less) alive. Namely, they will have the number 718 standing next to their names. 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman!
Back in 1957, the German carmaker created the 718 racecar, which had a 4-cylinder engine mounted in the middle of the vehicle. The upcoming Cayman and Boxster will be called 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster honoring the half a century old racecar. Additionally, these two vehicles will be set in motion by a mid-mounted horizontally opposed-four engine amplified by a turbocharger.
