Mercedes is doing the exact same thing with the GLC production as it did with all the other predecessors as it assembles it at its` plant in Germany, more precisely, the city of Bremen! However, from the beginning of the year 2017, they will begin their outsourcing production to Valmet in Finland!
This move will definitely give the German producer more capacity, especially now when it rolls out with a RHD version for markets such as Japan, Australia and The United Kingdom! This is not the first ever crossover, whose production Mercedes has outsourced! Also, it is not the first time, it had contracted Finland for auto-motive assembly!
