The new 2013 Hyundai Accent comes in two versions: compact 4-door sedan or 4-door hatchback.
The standard equipped Accent comes equipped with 14″ steel wheels, with air-conditioner, tilt steering wheel, all power accessories, folding rear seatbacks, trip computer and CD Mp3 6-speaker sound system with satellite radio and iPod, AUX and USB ports.
As an option the customer can have automatic transmission, cruise control, keyless entry, fog-lights, 16″ alloy wheels, chromed interior trim, center storage console, sliding armrest, remote audio controls with Bluetooth, color mirrors and door handles, rear spoiler and leather steering wheel.
138hp Engine!
The Accent is powered by 4-cylinder direct fuel injection 1.6-liter engine with 138 hp. With this engine Accent provides quickest acceleration in this class (from 0 to 60 mph goes in 9.8 seconds) as well as fuel economy (28 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway and 32 mpg combined). This engine has 123 pound-feet of torque and goes with standard 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic.
IIHS Safety Testing Results!
The 2013 Hyundai Accent comes with standard ABS with BAS, TCS and ESP, active head restraints, side airbags and side curtains.
The Accent can stop from 60 mph in 123 feet, a good distance for a car from its class.
In “IIHS” (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) testing the Accent received very good marks for overall crash protection, for both overall frontal impact protection as well as for overall side impact protection. The “IIHS” awarded the Accent with the highest rating of “Good” in the roof strength tests and frontal offset.
Class Above Interior Design!
The interior dimensions of the Accent are like the vehicles in the “compact” class according to “EPA”, no matter it may look like a sub-compact car. Very spacious rear seats offer enough legroom and headroom even for 6-footers to feel comfortable.
The front seats are well shaped and they are very roomy, so thanks to its quality, stylish dash, patterned upholstery and tasteful the Accent feels much upscale for this class of vehicles.
The sedan version is offering a large trunk with the capacity of 13.7 cubic feet and the hatchback version is offering capacity of 21.2 cubic feet and a capacity of 47.5 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
