The Tatra 810 is a medium-sized truck manufactured by the Czech-based company Tatra. This Truck replaced the popular Praga V3S in the Czech`s Army back in 2008. To replace a super-efficient and monstrous truck like the Praga V3S, you got to be worth something. You better believe that this truck is a great substation for its predecessor. Unlike other trucks built by Tatra, this one doesn`t use conventional Tatra swinging half-axles and backbone chassis. Instead, this truck uses customary truck architecture built with conventional frame.
There`s also a civilian version of this monster called the T 810-C and was introduced back in 2010. This truck comes in two powertrain versions. The first is with a Renault DXi7 230 Euro 3 engine and the second version is with a Renault DXi7 (Euro 5). The Renault DXi7 engine has a 7,145 cc displacement and produces up to 237HP and 680 lb-ft of torque power. The Tatra 810 managed to do the unimaginable just recently by achieving a world record in extreme climbing and downhill.
This was performed by building a gigantic artificially created obstacle. This obstacle is called the Brut Monster and it`s the most extreme barriers of this kind. In the video below you can witness this Tatra 810 prototype crossing the Brut Monster and thus breaking the world record. The Tatra used for this feat is a 4×4. To break the world record, the Tatra managed to pass inclination of 55 degrees of 24.6-feet-hgh obstacle. Enjoy the world breaking -performance of the beasty truck in the video below!
