What we have in front of us (or below the text), is the high peak of engineering, smooth construction that goes on flawless – Viaduct Millau bridge. This cable stray bridge is officially the tallest one in the world as it spans River Tarn`s valley in southern France, near the town of Millau.
It was designed by Norman Foster, a British architect and Michael Virlogeux, French engineer. 1,125 ft tall is what makes it the tallest as it also claims 17th place on the Highest Bridge Deck table with 890 ft! The cost for this bridge was approximately 400 billion Euros which is nearly 418 billion dollars.

Riding on the Viaduct Millau bridge is a pleasure. At least that is what we can see from a footage posted by a driver who trespassed the tallest bridge in the world. The footage dates back to 2007, however, it shows us the smooth asphalt and straight road! Wind deflectors everywhere and a fast route.
However, the Viaduct Millau bridge offers a smooth ride. Four fast lanes speed limited at 80 miles per hour where drivers normally go over it for a little bit! A great project and a great ease for the citizens of Millau and southern France. Moreover, this goes in handy for many tourists visiting the area – check it!
