The 70s was a period known for, other than the rock`n`roll, the production of some of the best movies ever. Many classics appeared during that time, and some of the movies had an enormous influence upon the society that people, who were inspired by the movies, had even changed their lifestyles. This iconic street racing scene from the 1973 American Graffiti movie is one of them. Older generations vividly remember it, but most of the younger gearheads probably know it as well. The 1932 Ford Deuce Coupe, driven by the drag racer John, on one side and the 1955 Chevy, driven by Bob or the very well-known Harrison Ford on the other.
While driving around the streets, John notices Bob closing in from the back dangerously close. They both stop at a traffic light and exchange some words bragging about their cars. Then they decide to race, and the same moment the traffic light hits green, we hear both of their cars roaring their engines. In a tight race, Bob manages to win with his 1955 Chevy, thus creating this street racing scene which is going to remain a true American classic. Can you think of any other street race that has left a huge impact on you?
