Street Outlaws Is At It Again! You Must See This Incredibly Sweet 1986 Chevy Camaro And It’s Tube Chassis!

Street Outlaws has been around for some time, and there is a good reason as to why this Discovery channel show has been airing for years. To those of you who happen to not know, this is a show about the world of American street racing! To put it simply, it`s an amazing show for many gearheads! The video we have for you today shows us a car that was wrecked in the show being fixed so it can race again! The car is a 1986 Chevy Camaro and it looks STUNNING!

In order to cut out weight, this Camaro is getting a new tube chassis, a fiber glass front end and a whole lot of Lexan! With these new changes, the 1986 Chevy Camaro will weigh about 2,300 to 2,400 pounds! Given the fact that this beauty was 3,200 pounds before the revamp, about 1/3 of its original weight will be gone! That is an amazing improvement!

Derek from the Street Outlaws Silver Unit got down to work and they results were excellent! After everything was done, the 1986 Chevy Camaro was ready to visit the tracks again! The biggest difference came with the engine change. Before the car was totaled, it had a 605 cubic inch Chevrolet Big Block engine. After damaging it, there was no other option but to change it! The replacement was even bigger than the original, as the current engine is a whopping 704 cubic inch Chevy Big Block!

We must compliment Derek on a job well done, and his wife for encouraging him to take care of this great 1986 Chevy Camaro. At the very end, we get to hear the engine of the revamped Camaro and the sound is JAW-DROPPING! You can listen to it too! All you have to do is press the play button on the video! Enjoy!
