Rolls Royce is one of the biggest luxury car brands in the world. When you see one of them going down the street, it does make your day, doesn`t it? However, some people are so attracted to them that they think they can snatch the Rolls Royce Spirit Of Ecstasy emblem off the front, like they would be able to do so with an older model of a Mercedes-Benz.
However, the engineers at Rolls Royce predicted this over a decade ago, and they have a system of countermeasures that makes it not only impossible for anyone to steal the emblem, but also very dangerous!
Namely, they have put a pneumatically powered retractor down below the Rolls Royce Spirit Of Ecstasy emblem, which activates every time that someone tries to pull on the emblem. When this happens, the emblem quickly retracts down into the hood, and if someone is holding onto it very tight, so do their fingers! This is why Rolls Royce is a firm that we will continue seeing for a while – they have ingenuity, they care for their customer and they don`t let anything go to waste! Props, and I really hope that they continue in this fashion.
