The Special United States Forces has come to an agreement with the Memorial Battelle institute! The deal is worth $170 million for over 5 years! The deal is made to take off the shelf Hilux pickups, Ford Rangers and Land Rovers! The idea is to fit them with heavy duty suspension components, new wheels, run flat tires, observation equipment, sophisticated communications and heavy armor! Pretty neat huh?
According to Military Aerospace, the contract is for up to 556 vehicles! Over two-thirds of these vehicles, the Battelle institute will fit with armor! The general idea is to design a truck with unobtrusive looks so troops can blend into traffic more easily! A very clever plan by the Special United States Forces indeed! What do you think?
