By Russians, for Russians… The Kamaz Truck is extremely durable!
Russia is very well-known for developing and constructing high quality and extremely durable vehicles. Lada and Kamaz are just some of Russia`s most prominent manufacturers. That is why we take a look at this Red Bull commercial which will convince us in the quality and durability of a Kamaz truck. It is most certain that nothing can stop the truck, not even the heavy snow.
It performs a breath-taking stunt, and it does it perfectly. The whole set up takes place somewhere in Russia and we see a Kamaz truck speeding on the snow. It performs several drifts and is rushing towards the ramp made out of snow with speeds of over 140 km/h.
This is a Kamaz 4326 model with Continental HCS 14.00 R20 164/160K tires which have 216 4.2mm spikes.
The suspension travels for 30 cm and is seen rolling and roaring like a beast. It has a mechanical, synchromesh 16 speed. The whole stunt was driven by the two times Dakar Rally Champion, Eduard Nikolev, in 2013 and 2017. He was secured inside the truck with a 5-point seatbelt. Its peak point in mid air was 2 meters.
The Kamaz truck measures 7.22m in length, 2.55m in width and 3.26m in height. It has a staggering 1,000L fuel tank! It flew for 36 meters until it finally landed in the snow. It has a 1,000 HP engine and goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 11,5 seconds with its V8 16,2 liter diesel engine. What a monster this is!
