This satellite was manufactured by Boeing Satellite Systems and weights 5.4 tons. According to the Russian media, the telemetric system stopped functioning seconds before placing the satellite in the orbit. Meanwhile, Roscosmos (Russian Federal Space Agency) officials are doing their best to locate the problem. Unnamed source states that flight control was lost 498 seconds after take-off. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is also notified for this occurrence.
