We are all used to the classic and often decent enough process of paint removal with the help of a grinder, but what you are about to see in the following video is the new paint strip process which is the same as the previous but much more.
You must be wondering how this can be possible. Well, to begin with you need to cover the ends of the car part you want to remove the color from. This is done because we are going to apply chemical on it and we do not want to touch any place where there is no color. After this comes the application itself. A layer of this strong chemical is placed and left for 15 minutes.
To speed up the process, the area is covered with a plastic bag. 15 minutes later and we are ready to see how it looks like. Some parts of the color have been removed but hence the car had been repainted several times, they need to apply several coats of the chemical. Finally, the part is ready for grinding and taking off any leftover paint.
They strip the piece to bare metal and clean up any imperfections or even the tiniest spots of oxidation. This is important because although you might not see them now, they might appear in just couple of years. Then solvent is sprayed on the metal to reveal what is not visible to the eye.
