Today we have decided to pay a little tribute to the Dodge mechanical excellence, by showing you the video with this 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 with a wedge Borla Turbo Muffler and its amazing dual exhaust sound. Not that it is also a historical fact, but everyone who knows just a little bit more about the American muscle cars than the `everyday car enthusiast`, is very much aware that the golden era was between the late 60s and the early 70s.
And it was the year of 1970 when the Dodge Company released their first two-door muscle car, and the name was more than appropriate – Challenger. There was a list of different variants that were offered to the potential costumers, including twelve motor versions.
Amongst all those variants, one of the most memorable was (and still is) the V8 440 cubic inch model, that just like all of the others has the standard three speed manual transmission. But there was an option for a four speed manual transmission, according to the desire of the owner. The base for this model was the Chrysler`s new E-shaped platform.
If you are one of the muscle cars fan from the golden era, I think that you are going to enjoy this next three minutes with the music of 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 E/G!
