The sixth generation Camaro is the gift that keeps on giving! The new 2018 Chevrolet boasts more than any of its predecessors and people have been unable to shut up about it – and with good reason!
When the ZL1 first came out, nobody thought “this car needs to be faster!”. However, they still got every bit of this unneeded pleasure, and we get another glimpse of how Chevrolet creates the industry instead of following its trends. The new ZL1 1LE has 650 horsepower and 650 pounds of torque and it`s an improvement on the earlier model in three things – its aerodynamics, its tires and its suspension.
The wing spoiler in the back creates 80% more downforce than the regular ZL1 and it`s pure pleasure to drive it, as I`m sure you can imagine.
There is a reason, however, that some people are mad at the new 2018 Chevrolet Camaro – it only comes as a manual shifting car, with no automatic models. It can achieve 1.1G`s when going around a corner due to its new rubber.
However, the major difference to the ZL1 is the suspension – the new 1LE uses special multi-matted dampers with spool valves that will let you tune your ride for the track perfectly and just the way you want it! It isn`t new technology as it has already been used in the Z28 and the Colorado ZR2.
However, while this car might be perfect for the racetrack as a representative of the new generation of muscle cars, it might be a little bit too intense to drive on the street!
