So, the time of the great and fast Bugatti Veyron as an absolute monarch in the world of fastest performance cars is over, and there is a new sheriff in town, and its name is Ford GT Bad V8. And now, it is officially the world`s fastest car, that has set a new Guinness World Record at unbelievable 283.232 mph! How about that?
The title of the fastest car in the world is coming back to the United States, thanks to Johnny Bohmer, the man who is the owner of the Performance Power Racing, and who piloted that awesome 1 700+ HP Ford GT Bad V8. His result of an incredible 283.232 mph was just the right speed to set a new Guinness World Record. The legendary moment took place at the NASA’s Shuttle Landing Facility Runway (pretty appropriate, right?)
The record is set in the Standing Mile, which means that the awesome Ford GT starts from a dead stop, and then it accelerates full throttle through the one mile mark. And the video is showing us just what it looks like to be behind the wheel of that utterly fast Ford GT Bad!
So, without further adieu, check out the video below, meet the fastest car in the world in a Standing Mile, and tell us what you think about it! And if you want to see the list of world`s ten fastest cars, go to this link.
