Anyway the policeman doesn`t know that this Uber driver is actually a lawyer and he knows his rights perfectly. He even asked him several times to stop filming, like it is illegal to record a police officer…
The lawyer in the car, knowing his rights didn’t stop to film and he didn’t get out of the car when the police officer ask him to do in order to search the car. Then the policeman called the K9 in order to search the lawyer‘s car. So, K9 was eventually brought to the scene and his car was searched. No illegal substances were found and the lawyer was told he was free to go. Then he posed this video on his Facebook page, claiming that his rights were violated. The local police department confirmed that filming Police is not illegal.
So, the police should not think they can do whatever they feel like doing. at the moment. We should all follow the rules and the law. Maybe , this guy should have press charges to the police for illegal search of his car without any court warrant or consent.
