All of you out there that have kerosene running through your veins are sure well familiar with the Farnborough Airshow! It is by far the best and greatest Airshows in the world. With that being said, it is logical that only the best can perform there. One of them is the British mean machine – Vulcan XH558! The aircraft in stake is well known for being in service of the Royal Air Force for over 30 years, since its first flight in May, 1960! It is manufactured by Avro, that used to be one of the leading Aircraft manufacturers, founded in 1910 and facing defunct in 1963!
However, the Vulcan XH558 took part at the Farnborough Airshow where it performed a remarkable landing! The jest had its from wheel in the air the whole time while driving the runway using the rear wheels. It`s a classic wheelie many would say! Anyway, what the pilot did was prolonging the flare which is called aerodynamic braking. Thus, the airflow slows down the jet nice and easy without the use of brakes or parachutes! The Vulcan XH558 looks special when landing like a prey bird on the runway!
