Today, everything that`s related to safety is extremely advanced. For example, when a daredevil has an attempt to do a stunt, there`s a very big chance that they are not risking their life. We have seen a lot of spectacular crashes with cars in recent time, and each one of them is a real testament to the safety engineered into these cars. However, in this one we travel back in time when safety in the daredevil almost didn`t exist. It`s an old school daredevil that pushes himself to the very limit attempting to jump a rocket Lincoln over the vast St. Lawrence River.
This death-defying stunt happened in 1976 and the event was known as the super jump. The daredevil`s name is Kenny Powers. Once the rocket Lincoln leaves the monstrous ramp, it needs to fly one mile over the huge river and land on Ogden Island, NY. Before the stunt was executed, there was 4 years of planning and more than 1 million dollars have been spent. Kenny Powers attempted to jump three times the distance that Evel Knievel tried to achieve with his insane jump at Snake River Canyon. Unfortunately, Kenny Powers failed to achieve this extremely ambitious feat. Nevertheless, he was lucky to get out of that wreckage alive. Think that`s old school? Here is OLD SCHOOL for you!
