Doing this job and watching the numerous and various drag battles all over the years, I had seen all kinds of unusual and out of the ordinary drag strip performances, that makes us all look at it with our mouths open and with disbelief. Now, the following Twin Turbo Mustang 1/8 Mile pass might not be something that much spectacular, so that we would not believe our eyes what we see, but it is definitely something that deserves our attention, with its pretty interesting and even a little but funny run!
I`m sure that I don`t have to tell you that when we see a car on the strip that is pulling up the front wheels when it is launching (sometimes even the entire race), it is an act of demonstration of a great power under the hood. But the thing which does not go into the driver`s advantage in such cases is that when he gets to the point when he has to lift off of the gas pedal to regain his bearings, almost every time, this adds an additional time to his pass.
However, it seems that in the case of this Twin Turbo Mustang, he does not lose anything (or definitely not much) as it is lifting only one wheel off, on its way to the finish line of this 1/8 Mile pass.
The man behind the wheel is Tim Kincaid, and he is carrying his front left wheel for almost the whole track, setting it down just before the end, during his truly impressive pass at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion 2.
So check out the following video clip and see what I`m talking about! And if you want to see another Mustang, doing a totally crazy double wheelie performance on the strip, go to this link and check out the video!
