We have seen plenty of vehicles modified with jet engines and now it is Mazda RX7 FD turn. Check this Jet Powered Mazda FD RX-7 owned by Russell Clarke at the Heathcote Park Raceway. Although this car is jet powered, it seems like it is kind of slow. We don’t know why does it look like this, is it because the jet pack itself, or just the camera angle deceives us? Can you make a decision? The best speed up to date is 160mph @ 1/8 mile.
However, these cars are not always made to be fast. In fact, they serve most of the time as show cars, making the event more interesting. And as you can see, it attracts people with cameras close to the starting line.
