Hyundai Motor Company is very committed to sports and sports events. Therefore it is official partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Championship Trophy and as such it is going to offer 70 cars for the fore coming ICC Championship Trophy which is to take place in Cardiff. The competition will take place in England and Wales at fully renovated places. Hyundai will give this championship different models including i40, Veloster, i30 and i800 (H-1). These cars will be used for transportation of teams, officials, VIPs etc.
The CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, Mr. Tony Whitehorn said that it is a great pleasure for them to be part of the ICC Champions Trophy which is going to take place in England and Wales and will last approximately two weeks. He also said that this is a huge chance for Hyundai to present its models and products to all fans of cricket.
Mr. Campbell Jamieson, General Manager of ICC Commercial, declared that each event enhances even more the cooperation between ICC and Hyundai. He added that Hyundai is of crucial importance when participants` and tournament guests` transportation is in question
This cooperation between Hyundai and ICC has given Hyundai the possibility to get closer to all fans of cricket as well as cricket players. Hyundai has officially sponsored the ICC Cricket World Cup that took place in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It also has a contract to sponsor the upcoming world championship, as for example the ICC World Cup 2015 which is to take place in Australia and New Zealand and the ICC World Cup 2014 which is to take place in Bangladesh.
The ICC Champions Trophy will take place from the 6th of June until the 23rd of June. The best eight teams will compete for the Trophy. Last time India won it, so this time it will try to remain on top fighting against New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, The West Indies, Australia and England. Hyundai will be present during the whole event. It will proclaim the winners, it will give information on match timing and from the 5th of June until the 23rd of June it will set a huge LED screen at Piccadilly Circus.
