Langdong is Inspired by Hyundai Elantra!
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Hyundai Motor Company located in China, a new Hyundai Elantra, i.e. Hyundai Langdong was solemnly inaugurated. The event was held at the 2012 Beijing Automotive Exhibition in the China International Exhibition Center. Inspired by Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Langdong is a car dedicated to the new generation as its name actually says. The meaning of “Langdong” means “dynamic car for the young, new generation”.
Classy and Prestigious Appearance!
Hyundai expects this car to provoke agitation on the market since it has a smooth design and perfect lines that give the car somewhat classy and prestigious appearance. This car is going to be produced in the second half of 2012 in Hyundai`s joint venture in China, more precisely in Beijing Hyundai Motor Co. (BHMC). Since 2009 the whole design of the company has been inspired by the wind and therefore you can see that Hyundai Langdong basically glows with it.
Two types of Engines offered on the Market!
As far as the engine is concerned there will be two types offered on the market, i.e. 1.6 liter and 1.8 liter MPI engine. The 1.8 liter engine develops maximum power of 107.4 kW (146.1 PS) and a maximum torque of 174.6 Nm (17.8 kg.m). On the other side, 1.6 liter engine develops maximum power of 93.8 kW (127.4 PS) and a maximum torque of 155.5 N.m (15.9 kg.m). Both engines save fuel and they do that better than any other Hyundai Langdong`s rivals.
Dimensions!
As far as external proportions are in question Hyundai Langdong is 1 680 mm high, 4 693 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2 700mm. According to these numbers on can draw a conclusion that Hyundai is quite cozy and practical car.
Premium Features and the highest Active and Passive Safety!
When we are talking internal features we have to say that Hyundai Langdong is equipped with automatic transmission and six-speed manual. It also includes LCD screen, full climate control, fully adjustable power seats and push button start. Concerning safety, Hyundai is famous for paying grand attention to the safety mechanisms of its cars. Hyundai Langdong is not an exception. It includes active and passive safety mechanisms such as tire pressure monitoring system, emergency brake reminder, side airbags etc.
Hyundai plans to extend its line of cars containing Blue Link Service in the first half of 2012. This Blue Link Service is actually an advanced in-car entertainment system which is to be incorporated in Hyundai Langdong. This system includes navigation and remote control, minimal driver distraction and safety and maintenance alerts.
