Have you ever wondered how fast Formula 1 drivers go? Have you ever felt the excitement from the loud sound they make while driving? If you have then this is the right video for you. Formula 1 industry has gone very far in terms of improvements since its beginnings. Testing motors on the dyno and competing in virtual races has become their daily bases. This was the case with the Honda Formula 1 motor which was put to the dyno and tested at whooping 21,000 rpm. You are probably wondering why do they do that?
They run and test the engines to check the sound they make and to test their capability of how well they will perform on the tracks. The Honda Formula 1 motor was tested virtually as if in a real race. They are able to use the transmission and the dyno software to control the gears.
Even a complete virtual race software was developed to test the motors in the factory sitting on the dyno stand. As they shift through the gears, the motor gains power and the sound it makes becomes louder and louder until finally its exhaust pipes start glowing in a vibrant orange color.
