Hello my fellow Gearheads and Need for Speed co-aficionados! Today we have prepared another cool video from the Ozzie Land, with one insanely fast Mercedes Vito van that will give you the proper dose of positive vibes and that will satisfy your need for watching great rides, setting the drag strip on fire!
And I know that I have said it numerous times before, but I will say it again. Australia is the place that keeps on giving us the pleasure of watching highly modified and fast as hell rides, that are achieving incredible results on the strip. By now, we have seen all kinds of fast drag cars, unusual and appealing buggies and other state of the art vintage muscles, so today it is turn to show you the fastest van that we have seen in a long time!
It is a highly modified Mercedes Vito van, which was one of the first nitrous assisted drags, powered by a 632 cubic inch Big Block Chevy V8 motor. According to the info, Andrew Bartlett and his drag Vito used only a small nitrous shot, and yet, he made more than one 8 second passes. From those that we can see in this video, first one was 8.5 seconds at 166 mph, and the second is 8.78 seconds (I`m not sure about the accuracy of the speed result, you will see why).
