Everyone who is Into muscle cars, especially the vintage models, knows very well that the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona is one of the most desirable muscle cars that has ever come out of the assembly line. It was Dodge`s secret weapon to beat the Ford at the NASCAR aero wars of the season `69-`70. And as you know it, that goal was achieved very fast and the `69 Charger Daytona became the very first muscle car that broke the 200 mph barrier in NASCAR (Buddy Baker was the driver). I do not have to tell you how much desirable this awesome vintage muscle is nowadays, right?
The example that you are going to see in the video below is pretty much in its original shape, unrestored, with the genuine 440 Magnum engine under the hood, mated to a 727 Torque Flite transmission. The original sheet metal is still on it, it could only use a new paint job, because even if this original R4 Charger red hue is still presentable, a little bit of temporary touch would be the right thing.
This video was made almost three years ago, when the car was being put up for sales, with only 46 000 miles behind, and as you can guess, it is still a real blast to drive. We do not know who bought it and where it ended, but that does not bother us to admire its timeless beauty and irresistible allure. The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona is still an ultimate muscle beast that could be described as a pure perfection.
