2017 Ford Super Duty Sets New World Record For Largest Banner Flown By A Motion Vehicle!

The American flag waives proudly wherever it stands. Now, it got pulled by a 2017 Ford Super Duty for a new record! And not any record – a Guinness World Record! You wonder what the Ford record is actually about? Okay, here we go. The Ford Performance team decided to take upon this challenging task and tow the largest banner for not less than 100 meters! The banner we are talking here is actually the American flag printed in a 45×92 foot, 4.124 version! So, it all took place at Homestead Miami Speedway on the 19th of November, 2016. As Doug Scott, Ford Truck group marketing manager would say: “We usually talk about towing cargo or freight, and today we are talking about towing the largest banner ever!”

Casey Desantis, the official adjudicator explains the rules, stating that the banner must be towed for at least 100 meters WITHOUT touching the ground! And it all started, a new Ford record was to be set if everything went well! The current record to beat was 3,203 square feet, whereas the Ford boys exceeded that obstacle by marking new 4,123.5 square feet! A new Ford record as Chevy had beaten this exact one only a month ago. Who`s next? Ram, do you copy?!
