As you may know flooded cars always has significant rust problem. The interior of the car, especially the hidden spots and floorboards lends it self to rusting in just couple of days. It is even more important that very serious mechanical problems on the engine, transmission and the suspension can come out because the car has been under water. All this can significantly shorten the car’s life and it can affect its performance on the road.
However, maybe the biggest problems with the flooded cars are the problems with their electrical system that might have short circuits due to the water and the corrosion latter on. Changing the whole electrical system or solving all the electrical problems might be very big expense.
It’s so sad to watch these luxury and sports cars being soaked in the water, especially if you know they will never be in the same condition like before, no matter how much money will you spend on their recovery.
