Kevin Nicks is a gardener from Oxfordshire and he created this car shed so he can compete for the title of ‘Fastest Garden Shed` in York. And guess what? He won of course and smashed the world record by reaching a speed of 88.086 mph. This amazing speedy car shed began as a humble Volkswagen Passat and it took Kevin Nicks 7 months to build, which cost him more than $7.000. This amazing car shed weighs 2 tons. It`s powered by a 2.6 L V6 petrol engine and it features a button to open the doors automatically. It`s also complete with remote central locking, air conditioning and leather seats. So, when it comes to customizing cars, this one is definitely thinking outside the box.
Kevin Nicks` main goal was to build this car for advertising purposes where 20 companies expressed an interest in using this great car shed. But, when Kevin Nick tried to make this car road legal he encountered some difficulties. Bureaucracy and Red Tape delayed the making of this shed road legal by half a year. Kevin Nick even asked for help from UK`s Prime Minister David Cameron. And according to Kevin Nicks, the Prime Minister was very efficient in assisting him. Kevin Nick now successfully uses his pimped out man cave as a profitable advertising vehicle, a mobile billboard where a lot of companies are taking an interest. Kevin Nicks hopes that it will bring him finances for his next build.
