What to expect from the Fate of The Furious?
The franchise began as a pure street racing flick, and the fights, amped-up races, and action packed scenes have remained a signature of the Fast and Furious franchise. It begins with Dom who drives an exploding vehicle, and it just gets more insane from there. Hundreds of cars get annihilated in a self-driving vehicle set piece.
The gang finds out about Dom`s treachery during a high-speed escape that involves the comeback of Hobbs who is played by Dwayne Johnson. Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) is involved in a gunfight that`s maybe one of the craziest things this movie has ever made.
However, we think that despite the action scenes, the franchise feels a bit more pedestrian these days. In Fate of the Furious, the team managed to set the insanity bar even higher by making the gang facing off a nuke-powered submarine. Having said that, the Fast and Furious has set expectations insanely high. Who knows, maybe we will see Dom floating in outer space in some future installment.
The Fate Of The Furious Delivers The Stunts Fans Expect!
When director Justin Lin stepped in, he infused the Fate of the Furious with some pretty neat white-knuckle action blocking, dynamic camerawork, and impeccable flourishes. Justin Lin`s visual prowess evolved the entire series, and over time, this became the basic counterpoint to the franchise`s most ludicrous pyrotechnics. Nevertheless, the new director Gary Gray doesn`t fail to deliver. Fate Of The Furious features an overwhelming opening set occurring on the roads of Havana, Cuba.
You can see some picaresque chases and racing that will leave you breathless. Especially when one of the cars gets completely engulfed in flames but still manages to stay on course. There are also scenes in New York City that provide even more astonishing moments that include a classic-pile when cars start raining. However, the pinnacle is saved for the final confrontation that`s set in Island`s Arctic`s Barents Sea. Here, it`s wheels on ice!
