It is nothing new that many manufacturers had pointed out their interest in engine supply for Formula One! Among these are some well know independent companies that have proven themselves in producing engines! However, the F1 Commission made up their minds yesterday and none of them will be chosen to do the task!
Four companies have already put their names on the applicants` list, some of those being Mecachrome, Advanced Engine Research and Ilmor! Mecachmore has just secured a contract for the GP3 as it had already worked with Renault on Formula One engines!
