We all know it well that when it comes to American muscle cars, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air series is one of the great grand fathers of all the other great muscle cars that will follow from Ford, Dodge and others. That is why we always have some kind of special respect towards these cars that marked the beginning of the era of `mass production of muscle cars` in American car industry.
We are saying this because in today`s post we have prepared you a video from one old timer, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, launching and `melting` the asphalt on the street, on an improvised drag strip down in Mexico. Even though the quality of the recording is not too well, we are always glad to see such a great car showing off its skills and abilities, and of course its massive engine`s power and strength.
As you will see it for yourself, the car is still not completely finished (especially when it comes to `facelifting`), but still, the most important things are there. A powerful engine, a good will to do well on the drag strip, so I guess, this is only a preparation for the things to come.
As I said previously, the recording is not so good, so I`m not so sure whether it is a `57 or `55 Chevy, but anyway, watch the video and tell me what you think about it.
