Every car guy in the entire world must love the DTM golden era from the early 1990’s. Then Audi V8 Quattro was racing against BMW M3 E30 and versus the Mercedes 190 2.5-16 Evolution II DTM touring car.
Even today the famous German DTM Championship is still about these 3 major German manufacturers Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Anyway, as you will all agree things were even more exciting back in the 1990’s. Those years are remembered as the “Golden Era” of DTM Championship.
The 190 2.5-16 Evolution II was a real beast and the BMW E30 M3 was a great competitor, while the Audi V8 Quattro was another incredible car -- the first at DTM Championship with a 4 Wheel Drive system, known as “quattro”.
When we are looking back at these amazing machines, it is no wonder that they were declared as the most successful touring sports cars in the world. They were simply breathtaking!
