You probably know how fast your car can go in a straight line forward. However, most of you probably don`t know how fast your car can go in reverse. Now, why would you need this type of information on reverse speed? Well, you just have to use your imagination for that one. Maybe you are stuck in a really bad situation and you need to be able to go the other way real quick. Anyway, back in the days in the cars that we`ve had the speedometer wouldn`t even move if you were going in reverse. So, we couldn`t really know how fast we were going in reverse.
That`s what AutoVlog is aiming to find out with this video. This will most likely differ from car to car, he is trying this with his usual guinea pig – Ford Fusion with a 2L 4V turbo engine that delivers 240HP. What he does is driving up the street and then coming back as fast as he can at reverse speed. Upon seeing the speedometer, it seems like the car actually went up to about almost 40 MPH. This is actually pretty quick and it was kind of scary going in reverse at that speed. We thought it would go around 15 mph, but we were mistaken. What about you?
