This video is proof as to why you should always have your eyes wide open while driving! Pretty much anything can happen on the road, and most of the things are not very pleasant. Hitting an animal on the road is definitely one of those unpleasant experiences you can have while traveling somewhere. Thanks to the camera on top of his helmet, one motorcycle rider filmed a deer hit. These animals are known to be quite fast, and this particular deer hit the bike head on while running across the road!
It happened in a blink of an eye! The motorcycle rider didn`t even have time to react, yet alone try and avoid the poor animal. For a second, it even looked like he didn`t know what happened! All of this happened in June 2009, while the aforementioned rider was riding with a couple of friends on his Suzuki 04 GSXR 1000. After the incident happened, the rider stopped. His friend from the back even tells him how lucky he is!
There was no crash, but the Suzuki 04 GSXR 1000 was totaled because of the deer hit. It shouldn`t be a surprise though, the animal jumped in front of the bike while it was going 85 miles per hour! Unfortunately, due to the impact, the deer didn`t survive the accident. We should warn you that this video is a bit graphic, because the dead animal is filmed from a very close distance. The least we can say is that the Suzuki rider was lucky he wasn`t injured.
It can be seen that the deer is not fully grown, so that might be one of the reasons why the biker didn`t fall after the impact. Nonetheless, like we said at the start, this video is proof as to why you should open your eyes while driving. Be careful next time you travel somewhere!
