Hereby we check out the latest piece of ingenuity by Cummins i.e. their launch of theĀ first all-electric semi truck truck ever.
Even though most of you already know, but Cummins is the leader in making most quality diesel and natural gas engines for commercial trucks. They recently unveiled their latest Class 7 heavy duty truck that features a 140 kWh battery packs. This gorgeous looking electric truck weighs 18,000 pounds is capable of hauling a 22 ton-trailer at the back. The all-electric semi truck has a 100 miles range and it has been targeted as for the use of urban deliveries, such as a beer or food delivery truck.
It can be recharged for a short period of time, just about an hour or so at any 140 kWh charging station. The goal of the Cummins Company is to reduce this charging period down to just whooping 20 minutes by the year of 2020. The production of this powerful truck is set for 2019 and we just cannot wait to see one of these beauties rolling in the streets. What do you think about this awesome electric truck?
