When you`ve got somewhere to go, you don`t let anything stop you! That`s exactly what this Cummins driver did when he ran across (quite literally) a May Day protest in front of a detention center. The protesters did try to block him as he approached but the driver just didn`t care – first, he was going slowly in his Dodge Ram, careful not to injure anyone but as he cleared the larger group of protesters he put his foot on the gas and him and his haul were out of there in no time!
This Dodge Ram Cummins driver may just be protected by the law for this behavior as well – it seems that a bill recently passed in the Senate rules committee that allows drivers to be released from any civil liability for passing through a protest if they exercise due care. Seeing as nobody was injured, but a lot of people were really scared, I don`t see a reason for punishment. Watch the video and let me know what you think – after all, people have stuff to do, maybe the driver was in way too much of a hurry to take a longer route, maybe it was an emergency. Anyway, the police is taking care of it now.
