At first glance, it may look like a spaceship from a sci-fi movie, but it is actually an outstanding custom car named The Cosmotron. The space age car was designed by Paul Bacon, who worked a year and a half in his back garden in order for this dream project to become a reality. The owner is Martin Smith, 41 year old man who knew how his dream car should look like and after he draw his imagination he worked out on a solution with Paul.
And the project started. Paul has bought a 1998 BMW Z3 with 2.8 liter straight 6 and then he removed the body panels off it.

Afterwards he was left with the rolling chassis and the floor plan, so he strengthen that with extra steal just to make sure it was sufficiently rigid so there would be no tilts in the fiberglass body. What is interesting is that for this car, Paul was using only recycling and household materials, such as foam, which helped him to sculpt the shape of the car. Finally, he covered everything in fiberglass and then smoothed it all out to the car the owner has now.
