Hello my fellow Gearheads and drag racing fans. Today we have prepared one really cool drag battle video clip, with two distinguished representatives of the European and the American sports cars engineering. Here we have the one and only Chevy Corvette Z06, with a motor under the hood that gives an output to a 560 HP. And its opponent, one of the fastest and best GT cars ever made, the German Porsche 911 Turbo 997 PDK , powered by an engine that generates 500 HP. And even more, the race is very, very close, even though it is not an American classical face off in the Quarter-Mile distance, but one of those European drag races on 1 Mile, probably coming from Russia.
This time I will be a spoiler and tell you that the winner of this drag battle is the Porsche 911 Turbo 997. Its final result numbers are saying 28.399 seconds at 179.70 mph, and the Corvette ZO6`s numbers are 29.577 seconds at 180.24 mph. But you can also see the Quarter-Mile results, as they are shown well at the telemetry data. And here is something that I want to share with you.
I do not want to act like some idiots who are relying only on their simple vision, but I think that it is very obvious that when the cars are crossing the 400 meter barrier (which is exactly a quarter mile, and it can be seen very well on the signs), it is obvious that the Corvette is having a lead. So check it out and tell me what you think about it in the comment section below.
