For those of you that aren`t familiar with the acronym, HERO means “Highway Emergency Response Operator”, which is a unit that provides highway help to people who have trouble with their vehicle.
This guy gets a call about a car stuck on the gore (the middle part of the highway). When he gets there, the grandpa behind the wheel says it just died on him, but fortunately for everyone there is also a cop that helps out quite a lot. The guys talk a bit and agree that the senior couple need to be towed away to safety, so they look for a rope in the HERO`s truck and they hook the rope up to the dead vehicle and the truck as well so that they can get the job done.
The guy then swiftly tows the couple and their non-functioning vehicle to safety – all people working on highway help should look up to this guy. Beforehand, he tells the driver to keep his foot on the brake in case anything happens, so there are no accidents in this video. The cop clears the road for them and they go off to the nearby gas station.
Getting there, the guy realizes the senior couple are still stuck in the middle of nowhere so he decides to go the extra mile and find a car rental service for them and even drive them there so that they can get home safely. The couple thanks him and this HERO is on his way to the next case – a multiple car collision down the highway.
