World HIGHEST BRIDGE Beipanjiang Completed In China – 1,850 Feet Above Ground!

China Record-Breaking Highest Beipanjiang Bridge 23

The immense Beipanjiang Bridge, which is 1,850 feet high, connects two of China`s most remote provinces, Yunnan and Guizhou. Engineers finished with constructing the immense structure on September 10. The structure has cost three years and $114 million to build. The bridge`s staggering height makes it twice taller than London`s skyscraper – The Shard!

Named after the river it crosses, Beipan, the amazing structure has a 2,363 ft wide-span and is connected to the Hangrui Highway. The Hangrui Highway is a 2,115 miles long motorway which connects Hangzhou City with Ruili city. Out of 10, China now possesses 8 of the highest bridges in the world.

The Beipanjiang Bridge is due to open for traffic by the end of the year. The completion of the structure took the crown of the Sidu River bridge, located in China’s Hubei Province. The vertiginous Sidu River bridge was completed back in 2009. It`s situated over a 1.627-foot deep valley. However, China`s engineers don`t stop here. Besides the Beipanjiang Bridge, they are also constructing the second highest bridge in the world -- Jinshajiang Bridge. The immense traffic link is 1,680 feet high and extends across the turbulent Jinsha River. Building started last year and it`s presumed to be finished in 2021.
