Every time I come across a video clip that features some classic Detroit muscle from the golden era of the American muscle car production, I always get a special kind of feeling from deep inside, that brings me back to the very beginning and the reasons why I started to love American muscles so much. I firmly believe that there are no other cars in the world that have that charm and allure like the American muscles from the late 60s and early 70s. And we have to thank them, for all these new and temporary Detroit muscles that we see nowadays, which are a real state of the art machines with almost unlimited capabilities and astonishing engine power. Amazing CHEVELLE Drag Strip Performance!
Today we are going to show you one such specimen, that was filmed during this year`s NMCA World Street Finals, a classic Chevy Chevelle SS with just a little bit of a modern twist under the hood. Unfortunately, there is no official data about it, even though its owner is telling us a few things about its Supercharged LS engine and the other components under the hood at the beginning of the video. They all contributed to this CHEVELLE Drag Strip Performance!
However, it is clear that it is a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS example that comes with the black paint job, with the well known racing stripes, and it is one persistent competitor. You will see it in more than one race, some of them it looses, others it wins, but all its Quarter-Mile passes are in the 10-second range, which is pretty impressive.
I would say that if you are also a fan of the classic American muscles, I believe that you are going to enjoy this video. So check it out and tell us what you think about it! And if you want to see another classic Chevelle SS in a really impressive drag strip performance, click here.
