Here is one fine specimen of a true Detroit muscle, one really great looking red 572 Chevelle, with a powerful big block, doing a little sideways action and a little bit of a rubber burnouts, creating small clouds of smoke. According to the video info, not so long ago, before this video was shot, the car was mounted with a ZZ572, probably the most powerful big block street motor, so now they have decided to get the car out of the garage and have a little fun with it. And what would be a better way to do that (since it is not going places) than doing a little bit of acceleration and burnouts out there on that nice parking lot?!
Chevrolet`s big block motor is really an utter expression of Chevy`s performance engineering capability that is turning the car into a real street race monster. Unfortunately, other than it is indeed a Chevy big block motor, we do not have the info about how much horse and torque power does it produce. Either the author of the video did not find that to be so important, or it simply slipped off his mind. But I think that it is nothing less than 500 HP.
