BMW announced on Monday that U.S sales for its 2017 diesel vehicles will be postponed! Apparently, the US regulators need more time than expected in order to certify the models! The anticipated BMW 2017 diesel cars that are awaited on the US market are: X3, X5, 3 Series and 5 series.
Because of the VW diesel emissions scandal last September, the US regulators are taking a more cautious approach with certifying diesel vehicles! Late last month, Volkswagen reached an agreement with US Regulators that`ll cost the German manufacturer about $15 billion!
Just like the BMW 2017 Diesel cars, the 2016 BMW diesel cars were also subject to more rigorous US testing procedures!
