Driving 19,000 tons of steel into a concrete dock might not be the best idea in the world, but it might just be the loudest and most awesome, especially if done intentionally! This video shows the biggest ship crash in the world, and it`s exactly that – intentional.
The captain of this ship is ramming it into the dock because he needs to take it to get disassembled, recycled and pretty much destroyed. So what does it matter if he rams it in the dock and the other smaller ships while he`s doing it? It doesn`t, so this guy just revs up the engine and drives straight into the concrete dock, hitting a few ships while he`s at it. He probably spent years on that ship, but it sure looks fun!
This huge ship recycling yard in Gujarat, India seems like it has its hands full with work as there are quite a few ships there that are just waiting to be melted down and sold as steel, by the pound. However, having the biggest ship crash into your dock every few months might be wearing down that solid concrete and I feel sorry for whoever has to pay that repair bill.
It would have been much more exciting if the sailors had gotten drunk and jammed the ship on land for the heck of it, but evidently, this giant hunk of metal has served its time and now the time has come for it to meet its maker, or it`s disassembler, as it turns out.
At last, did you know that the US Navy Destroyer crashed into a ship in Japan?
