The German luxury brand Audi proudly presented the R8 in 2006, at the Paris Motor Show. The Audi R8 is the first GT Cup 2 seater that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Considering the growing enthusiasm for R8s, the German brand had to upgrade the existing V8 engine to a R* V10 one in 2009. Audi had launched many sport show cars such as: The Audi Quattro Spyder 1, the Avus in 1991 and the prototype Audi Le Mans Quattro concept car that inspired the new look of the today`s R8.
